40 years on ............................................. Although this has been upped before, once again, some adjustment was needed to correct a few pitch issues and to re -merge split segues and try and correct fades (a little moan on my behalf now - music never or rarely fades in a concert so why insert a fade into a supposedly accurate reproduction of a live performance. I know it may just be my own personal foible but I personally don't get it at all! - here ends the first lesson !!) So this has been upped by good old ColinB in 2010 and psychocaniac again in2021and again is one of the higher quality recordings although with no new or startling variations from previous performances. Elvis jovially quips that "we've learned a few more chords since the last time we saw you" and again "Green Shirt" is dropped from the setlist. We again get a snippet of a song I've dubbed "One Way Out" though I'm not sure where the original source of this is or whether the "Little By Little" segment also inserted in to "Watching The Detectives" in later gigs is the from the same song? "Good Year For The Roses" garners applause in the introduction which would occur from then onwards at most Elvis U.K. shows. There are fades at the end of "Man Out Of Time" and after "Mystery Dance" Elvis announces that the next song is number 25 on the hymn sheet! A very listenable show, one which i thought I had as a first generation copy from back in the early 80s from a purchase over snail mail but the files from the wiki are of a superior (vastly) quality so I've used them instead and just go the pitch sorted. Clowntime Is Over Duration 1:51:42 Notes: - there's an apparent tape flip after "You Belong To Me", which has a quick fadeout after the song - the next track "New Lace Sleeves" fades in on the opening notes. - no rarities in the setlist except perhaps "Two Steps From The Blues" and "Danger Zone", which are each one of 27 known performances. source: audience recording taper and equipment: unknown lineage: unknown generation CDR (trade)-> EAC Thanks to the unknown taper. I made the following adjustments: - re-tracking - separated Backstabbers / King horse into their own tracks Editing lineage: EAC > Audacity (re-tracking, track separation) > TLH > FLAC 6 (align SB) > Foobar2000 (flac tags).
