Mike Perini of Ypsilanti, Mich., notes that Elvis Costello's Spike is the English rocker's eighth album to crack the top 40 in the '80s. Only one artist — Kenny Rogers — has amassed more top 40 albums in this decade. Rogers hit paydirt with 11 albums between 1980 and 1985, but has been shut out since. Tied with Costello for second place in the '80s are Pat Benatar, Rush, Barbra Streisand, and Prince.
