| Suppose he is not still, but you realize that he his skills every second is fully aware. Solo, he has come this time. To tease his audience with a little musical unorthodoxy and thereby to entertain themselves. The opener "Bullets For The New-Born King" and "Accidents Will Happen" came yet are unremarkable. But already in the third song, the sublime ballad "Either Side Of The Same Town," Costello got into those embers, the voice and guitar could melt together very delicate.

| Also, "Home Is Anywhere You Hang Your Head", this beautiful story of an unhappy lover named Mr. Misery was of fulfilling intensity. With gusto Costello trudged through their own history, classics treated equally unpretentious as the freshest songs. "Watching The Detectives" he clamored to with played rhythms. A rough reef was heard while Costello stretched both arms out of hand. The old dream of freehand guitar playing: So close he was rare. The mature Costello tried but at this point actually in realtime loops. The resulting mangy groove who ornamented with red hot guitar solos. "I'd like to introduce my special guest this evening: It's me," he joked as he hurried again to another of the five provided guitars. What could easily be monotonous, was Costello's exuberant musicality into a single pleasure. The once reduced factory rebels with the accountant's face a fashionable traditionalist has long. This was shown this evening at the nonchalance with which he interpreted other songs. The beautiful Beatles tearjerker "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", he integrated into his own "New Amsterdam". The other covers of Charles Aznavour "She", about the jazz standard "All Or Nothing At All" to Brinsley Schwarz's pub rock classic "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding" he summoned effortlessly amidst Bathroom Private.

| Besides the usual suspects such as the celebrated on the wing "Shipbuilding" and the two beautiful vocal jittered ballads "Everyday I Write The Book" and "Almost Blue" especially the latest songs enthusiastic. On the one hand the rough "National Ransome", but also tender and nostalgic coloured compositions as "A Voice In The Dark" and "Jimmie Standing In The Rain". I will gladly avail you believe that this beautiful mix of love, beauty and wisdom has unfolded from the marriage bed. Reason enough that Ron Sexsmith, as Costello roguish known, only his second favorite person in Canada.
