A Voice in the Dark?

Now that i've got the CD out again on its anniversary--interesting how vivid a cd sounds when I listen near the anniversary of its release--this song makes me wish that Diana and Elvis would WRITE the next CD and record it together. either that, or i wish she'd covered this on GLADRAG. I can even hear something of her timing in Elvis' voice on this...great song, funny, affectionate, ebullient, and what a line for a new love you've just found --"I heard someone calling to me, a voice in the dark" (which could also be being 14 and listening in secret to the radio for me in 1964).
