All This Useless Beauty

Post by StrictTime »

Newest acquisition (sp?) for me. since there doesn't seem to be much going on in Elvis-land, I just wanted to say that it is stunning (preaching to the choir, yes). 'The Other End of the Telescope' might just be my new favorite song. It knocked me over, figuratively speaking, of course. Ah well, I've vented my enthusiam for ATUB, and now I see what the fuss (among fans, anyway), is about. Back to your scheduled programming.
Why don't you write about it in your blag?

I love ATUB, as well. For me, the production has worn thin over the years but the songs are still stellar.

Sadly the last EC album I truly truly loved...with the possible exception of North.

This was my second CD (after Greatest Hits). Still love it.
The title track, It's Time, You Bowed Down, Poor Fractured Atlas are a couple of my favorites. I especially liked Almost Ideal Eyes on the bonus CD (also That Day is Done)

Anyone out there have a vinyl copy of this spare, I only know of a German pressing, which would be fine !
