Those are pretty cool -- but I'm not a big fan (so far) of von Stroheim as a director. Never stayed awake all the way through "Grand Illusion" for some reason (though that doesn't mean I won't love it when I give it my next try...I fall asleep a lot in movies if I'm tired, particularly subtitled ones!), while "Rules of the Game" is one of my absolute all time favorites. In fact, if you could find one of Marcel Dalio from "Rules", or "Casablanca", I'd consider....

I don't know how you guys do this (if I did, I'd probably have an avatar already; I actually tried to figure out the avatar thing once and just lost patience), but that one at the bottom is just dandy -- I can't tell if it's from "Rules of the Game" but it's close enough, in an

I may take another wack and replace it with another image I found earlier today on RottenTomatoes if I can figure it out.

Thanks guys. It just may be the end of an era....

Needs a "Sin City" veneer or it just won't be right for you.

Calling Mr. Rodriguez...

Just pulling your leg a little bit bobster. I think you lost your avatar in the great crash, just like I did.

Hi there ! I just fell from the Redux, off on that inspiring thread.

How about Richard Gere in “American Gigolo” ? Never mind in case not on target, at least some of us would get a kick out of it.
A nice reminder it would be for me, when I saw that movie I thought well, I wouldn’t go sleep in the bathtub.
That’s how French ladies put it when they notice a tempting man. Note I didn’t say good looking. Please also note, we usually say that when there is no foreseeable chance to land anywhere close to having a choice.

Hey Mr Average/Not So Average, I wonder what you have in your chest regarding “Sin City”. Not referring to Paris I hope. It’s more the “City of the Lights”, you see. And is outranked by so many other places in terms of the X rated and other dirty business. (BTW I am now wondering what means the X , perhaps 10 as in “top 10”?).
Actually French people are far less liberated than other folks like to imagine. Nevertheless, a lot of us are pretty cool, after all.

I thought we'd all already agreed that bobster's little red x was the board's Most Likely to Inspire Crushes Amongst Board Ladies.

but if he wants a change, he can try this one.

Thanks, Moodie. Bold try.

But I didn't mean bad looking either. Those arms, this general demeanor. Jesus Maria...

Meanwhile, you're in the right direction this time around. Keep at it !

And Mr Hadarage (I hope you're happy now) : would you be so kind and advise who Mr Rodriguez is ? Please...

WSS --

I had no problem using an avatar when they were provided for us (hence, Sideshow Bob and, prior to that, a coffee cup). It's the "finding-one-free-someplace-and-uploading-it-to-the-site" that, er, taught me that having a red X would be my ticket to massive popularity.

Nevertheless, perhaps it's time for a change....or perhaps not...

Radio : Better !
But do you mean both ? By the looks, not very engaging anyway...

Bobs : Don't fret, you retain ultimate control over the end result.

Miss B.A. (gee, I almost shortened it to Miss Behave, so sorry; That mouse is coming up with things totally different from what I tell her in the first place. Every day getting worse. This is beyond belief).
I meant : Thank you very much for the rescue. What's about this movie, does it have sort of a "film noir" atmosphere ?
(And please pardon me).
