Desperate Housewives

Post by John »

Mrs John (honest) has just reported that in the current episode some bloke when asked who his favourite band is replied Elvis Costello. The woman (a desperate housewife I presume) replied with "that's not a band that's a man". He then replied "it's a man with a band".
Or something like that!
Elvis has finally made it!

VG, I just don't think you're speaking loud enough.

Like me, the "g" is silent.

hearing that was so very depressing - "desperate houswives???" why couldn't he have said - "Bruce Springstein" or something like that.
The only consolation is that one of the writers must be an EC fan.. so we can forgive the totally uncool mention...
Nina Simone got a similar reference when a crazed female super human was jailed, and demanded only Nina Simone music. , somehow that was more cool than a plastic "hunk" on a trashy soap endorsing EC!

Then I remembered I don't have net access anymore, so couldn't post immediately!

I like the show. It's pretty sleazy, but the twists are pretty entertaining.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.
