Luther Burbank Santa Rosa - no set list?

Post by AlmostBlue »

Doesn't anyone have the set list?
It was great, although his voice was almost gone - but he was a great sport, kept playing encores. Lots of nice people... although lots of shouts of "sit down!" when a lot of fans came forward, until Elvis motioned them forward (it is the last two songs, can't you stand up???)

I didn't take notes - should have after the show. ANd I am REALLY bad ad this.. so I need help/!

North Tour winding down

Yeah, what Jeanlass said!! :-) It was a wonderous show! The best of the four I attended! I'd say I liked Santa Rosa, Vancouver then San Francisco and finally Seattle in that order. Hope you all enjoyed as well!!

Veronica and Motel Matches? Those two would have made the show for me.

Too bad the Florida shows were not as long as the recent gigs. Perhaps it was due to EC feeling bad as he is playing about a 1/2 hour longer these days.

Yes, Veronica was great, even though I am not crazy about that McCartNey / Costello collaboration. I really hope you get to hear it one day live. I cannot wait to get a copy of "Clings Like Ivy" !!

He was quite frustrated with his voice.. But he was just sucking it up. No performer on the planet works harder for their ticket revenue. BY the last encore, he looked ten years older and tired as heck, but he kept going as if he had just started. I have to believe it helps when people rush the stage in spite of all of the "sit down!" please.

Santa Rosa Lovliness

It was a wonderful show! Elvis finally gave the come hither cue so we *had* to go down to the front lest he think we don't appreciate him! Those people telling people to sit were clueless to the ways of Elvis. It was like that in SF too...people standing when they were supposed to be sitting and then rushing the stage before he asked them to, but that's okay, they were just remembering the WIWC shows and thought that this show would be the same and they wanted to make sure they weren't left out! :-) It was a wonderful performance on which to end my four show run!
