Elvis on Leno Show 11/14/03

Post by HungupStrungup »

I didn't know about this appearance until just now, but I have seen the listing in a couple of places.

Show begins at 11:35 EST (check your local listings), but he'll likely perform at 12:25 am or so.

Cool.. I wonder if he's still playing "Still" as his promo song.

Yes, no need to watch Leno before 12:20....trust me.

And I'm putting my money on FALLEN.

Anyone care to make this interesting?

Foyles don't count! They already know!

He's going to do "Bama Lama Loo" backed by James Burton, Jerry Scheff, and Marc Ribot.

Or not :D

Yes, LTZ.. being pretentious would be very bad. We wouldn't want people complaining about our site.

I would have bet money that, by now, he would have moved on to another song from the album as well, LTZ. Although it is one of my favorites from North, I think that particular song has been well promoted already.

Abbu is very good. I like their song Waterlogged. Very highbrow stuff. The aeolian cadences enough almost made me drop my tome of the complete unabridged Proust.

I think he was channeling a younger form of himiself! He looked uncannily like his former angry young man. In love though, of course. Bad tv reception here at work, but it looked like he had a light red shirt on with a thinner than purple tie.

Mitchell Froom played the piano, and I have to say I like Steve's playing of STILL a bit better.

Leno is TERRIBLE at interviewing compared to Letterman. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he just said: "She's had a positive effect on your music too. It sounds better than usual." CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?

Wouldn't it be great if Elvis returned the remark with a quick: "Well I must have a negative effect on your interviewing...it's even worse than usual!"

Man, I'm a huge Elvis fan. I love you guys!
