Re: Random Thoughts
A lot of what's wrong with the board, and in fact the entire internet, can probably be laid at the feet of Oily Slick. However, I'm really excited about dark wine joining and the chance of winning free Slipknot and Iron Maiden t-shirts.
Everyone just needs to fuckin’ relax. Smoke more weed, the world is ending.
Re: Random Thoughts

Axes grind and maces clash as wounded fighters fall to the ground
Severed limbs and fatal woundings bloody corpses lay all around
The smell of death and burning flesh the battle weary fight to the end
The Saxons have been overpowered victims of the mighty Norsemen

I hope that the man is in protective custody somewhere - there's like 3 billion angry hillbillies with weapons after him.
On second thought, no I don't hope he's in protective custody.
trending twitter topic and everything. First our B team whacks Kansas around pretty good and now this. I never felt so au courant before.

Re: Random Thoughts
Did you know they had Olympic curling? I'm watching it on TV as we speak.

Re: Random Thoughts
I'd like the winter Olympics a whole lot better if they weren't in, like, winter. On a related random thought, I've always thought it would be cool as hell if it would snow on the beach in July!
I have vowed to witness some curling this olympic season. It's a sport with brooms! Brooms!!! But I am doing Extreme Housetraining with the puppy, so I don't have a lot of tv time.
Mardi Gras - that's an idea I can get behind!

Re: Random Thoughts
Its very sad to see a once great forum, unselfishly championed by some very great people, fizzle out. I wonder if the tolerance to alternate opinions to the board consensus would have kept the fire alive. Instead, through defamation of views inconsistent with the majority, the board worked feverishly to purge the forum of dissenting opinions. Opinions that induced fire and vitriole, but at least induced SOMETHING...real thinking.
But the arrogance around the "stupidly" of GWB and the "brilliance" of Obama was a cancer that permeated both annex and EC Discussion posts. SOund oddly familiar. In one of the saddest days in American history, February 25th marked the day that, against the wil of the American people, the Liberal Obama administration decided to push through socialist legislation that has been a proven failure. But the same arrogance that is fizzling this forum is at the heart of the Obama administration, who now reports that the "the people of the US are ungovernable!". Yes, OUS'ers, that is the new anthem of the democratic party since the "blame it on Bush thing" wore out.
So you American's who voted this administration in, you are "too feeble, to stupid, to be governed. You can't understand what is good for you". This IS the new position of the Obama administration.
So sad. So predictable. So very sad.
Goodbye the America I love. Hug your kids for they will never know the freedom that you, your aprents had. And that your grandparents fought for and gave their life for, So sad.
