Ineresting info on EC's health from a torrent of the show now up on Dime:

Got an interesting story talking to an usher after the show. She said Elvis was so sick with flu-like symptoms the afternoon of the show they had to send for a doctor. EC must have gotten some of that home grown North Carolina mountain medicine to cure what ailed him as he seemed good to go by showtime and held nothing back. Jeez, the man played for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

So I guess this is what's been cancelling the shows, maybe not just throat problems. Hope he feels better!!

The torrent by the way is at

This was my Third (and hopefully not last) installment on the Revolver tour and I noticed a slight strain in EC's vocals but I never imagined he was suffering from flu like symptoms. He was kind enough to meet briefly with my daughters Baylee and Brooke before the show and invited them to spin the Wheel (Girl)

Doing nightly 2 1/2 to 3 Hour performances has to be a strain on any human being. I'm thankful he was able to pull the Ashville show off as I drove nearly 10 hours to get there! My kids are huge fans and Mr. Costello was very kind and generous toward them. I've seen every tour since 1981.

Nothing fishy, just EC freaks. Glad you and your kids enjoyed the show. That's what a show is all about. Cheers to many more!

'The Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence attends Elvis Costello show in Asheville

July 20, 2011

Movie star Jennifer Lawrence attended the Elvis Costello show Tuesday night at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in downtown Asheville. Lawrence is around town filming The Hunger Games movie. She was nominated for an Oscar last year for her performance in Winter's Bone.

Here's a photo shot by loyal reader and colleage John Boyle. That's Boyle's buddy, Austin Walker, standing next to Lawrence.

You're not fooling anyone with that pseudonym, Mr. Foyle.

That's my artwork. :)

I'm grateful that this recording exists. The show was fantastic!

Any word on a possible torrent of the video files that were discussed earlier in this thread?
