Oily, that would be so great if you could come to the Ryman. It won't be the same without Moody and her beer-drinking/Elvis-hating husband, but we can still have fun. :)

And there's something really scary about thinking of Elvis singing Mr. Roboto. :?

Hey, Moody, I was there! My family went the day after I graduated from high school in early June.

For whatever that's worth. . . . . .

oh wouldn't that be FINE!

sigh. i just can't do the ryman. too far, not near enough to relatives to make it cost effective. drat.

i may not even make it to the TN theater. i took out dough for weekend fun, and the abm (automatic bling machine, it is NOT a teller!) said i have negative $3 in my account. oops.

Poppet, you can come back home with the doc and I after the Ryman show if you like, and still get back to make the Knoxvegas show.

You could crash at my place if you need a place to stay in Nashville, Poppet. I'm sure the wife would be okay with it.

Latter-day Elvis takes to the road

As rock fans celebrate a birthday of one Elvis this month, they can look forward to a tour from another. The ever-prolific Elvis Costello and his band The Imposters are hitting the road to promote their critically acclaimed CD The Delivery Man, nominated for two Grammy Awards. The concert trek kicks off March 2 in Orlando and is scheduled to run through April, with more than 30 dates in cities including Nashville, New Orleans, Houston, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia and Boston.

The tour will be immediately preceded on March 1 by the release of a limited edition of Delivery Man, with a bonus disc, The Clarksdale Sessions, featuring alternate versions of songs and additional tracks, as well as a video excerpt from an upcoming DVD.

God bless ya, Foyle the J!

Nothing on Ticket Ass-ter yet, or any of the Boston venue sites. I wonder of it'll be the Orpheum, or the Wang as for the NORTH tour. Or-- a gal can hope!!-- Avalon.

*crosses fingers for a Toronto date*
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

If he will indeed be doing more than 30 dates, I'm sure at least Toronto will be one of them. Hopefully Montreal as well!
