Nice to see Mitchell again. STILL was sweet and even more subdued than usual, if that's possible.

An mp3 of this performance is available at

Please be patient since it can only handle 2 people downloading from it at any one time. It will be available for a while.

I thought that Leno said, regarding the music "It sounds better than ever."
Still a bit of a back-handed compliment, though, and yeah, Leno is an idiot.

I kind of liked Kevin Smith's Roadside Attractions bit though, as I lived in his neck of the woods (Red Bank) for a short time.

And you are right, Elvis looked great. No purple tie, more of a pink and gold swirly thing.
It's a radiation vibe I'm groovin' on

The above link is listing this for tomorrow night

-Sun 16 Nov 21:30 CET
to be confirmed

so it might be last night's US broadcast, though not likely. If not, hopefully it will be on next weekend.

Brit-land beings, this episode will be shown on FTN at 10p.m, Monday: http://www.ftn.tv/listings.html# It's annoying when you have to wait the whole weekend for Fri night's one. Christ I've got a train to catch...

What a dreadful program. Three unfunny comedians (if you include the presenter) and a basketball player. Had to endure 45 minutes of torture and adverts before Elvis came on. Wasn't he just too good for this program?
Touring America from mid-February.
Getting married in England between now and then is my guess.
Not much chance of a proper new album before 2005 is also my guess. :(

Leno sucks

When you say "proper" do you mean "loud"?

There will be some Jazz or Classical thing coming out between now and '05, I do hope!

The Midsummer Nights Dream album already recorded is instrumental.
Loud or quiet I love listening to Elvis' lyrics.

What's TFN? feel less bad about missing it now.

Why would he get married here when neither of them live here? Surely he'd head north to get married.

Leno is the one thing I watch on tfn, ONLY if the guests are good.

You should feel bad, Oatie, 'cos Elvis looked spiffing. Nice new specs and a veritable content/smug air about him. They should head north to get married? In Gretna Green?

Unbelievably I fell asleep about ten minutes before the show began...don't ask, just large mutant junkie amounts of stress is wiping me out...

About the marriage thing, I doubt they get married in England. My mom says (I consult her about all things catholic-like) that they have to post that in the Catholic church to give people time to log their complaints and to inform the public. I take it that must mean that he once went to this church or that is where he and Cait got married or something....otherwise, he could have posted it anywhere....is he Catholic? Is she? Mom says it is a very Catholic thing to do, in fact can't get married without it. Which also means, if he is Catholic, that Cait had to agree to anull the marriage, so that religiously speaking it didn't happen in the eyes of God, so that way he could marry again. Bullshit. Or maybe he is not Catholic, and just bored?

Mish, Jody is my financeer. We're getting married in May. :D

She's just the best, but sometimes she gets a little moody and hard to handle. And in my Elvis Renaissance that is the past 2 years, I accidently played too much Elvis, and she doesn't want to hear him anymore. :(

She said she'd "do him" though, so I guess that's good enough for now. Spooky says she'll wake up someday and love Elvis, but I don't know if I want to wake up in that bizarro world with her! :)

LTZ,

It's bound to happen, you will wake up to her crooning Elvis to you, when you least expect it....sleep with one eye open, lest she actually turns into Elvis.

I just don't get it. I know the meaning of each one of those words individually. Parsing the clause, it seems to be simple declarative. I see that the proper parts of speech are all there and apparently in an order that should make sense; however, this statement conveys no information to me!!!!!

How can one ever play too much Elvis?

The words "too much" and "Elvis" cannot grammatically work together.

I agree with HS and Spooky G,

There is no way to play too much Elvis...see it doesn't even make any sense!!!

Time to get off the medication!!!
