What song can you absolutely NOT GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD?
You know, the one you've played over and over again, and it's still not enough, or the one that's in your head when you wake up four days in a row? Well, what is it this week? This month?!?
For the past four or five days I've been trying to pry this song from my brain, but it's holding on like a tick on a dog:
I Almost Forgot - Matthew Sweet

Holy cow, you are not kidding! I think I'm rid of it, but no, there it is, first thing every morning for about a week now. I once had King Horse every morning for about six months, which actually started to get a little spooky in a Groundhog Day kind of way.Mechanical Grace wrote:That one IS a sticker, ain't it??? Thanks, it's from a cover I designed for a Listserv CD project...wow, almost a decade ago:

New Order - Age of Consent. That one's been there a lot in the last 23.5 years. The line 'And now that I've actually heard it/You're going to regret' always sticks out due to that odd intransitive use of transitive 'regret' (like the use of transitive 'Enjoy!' as imperative), but I love it.
There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more

You once was an Inca
Now you`re a Cherokee
C-c-c-cucumber
C-c-c-cabbage
C-c-c-cauliflower
Men on Mars
April showers
(kick it, kick it)

echos myron like a siren
with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load
