Hey football experts, I just came across this montage of Roberto Baggio goals (channeling JF, I was led to this by the EC appearance on Italian football; EC leads, I follow). Amazing goals. The only football I watch are bits and pieces of the premiership games that get televised over here, and I haven't seen anything like this (some of Henri's goals come close, but that's it). How good was this guy? Are his goals considered particularly stylish?

Lucky result for Fulham last night; almost felt bad for Charlton at the end. Santa came through with tickets for Saturday at Stamford Bridge on - they'll (FFC) have to get their heads out of their asses if they hope to avoid total humiliation.
Everyone just needs to fuckin’ relax. Smoke more weed, the world is ending.

I was sitting directly behind the goal where the penalties were taken at the 1994 World Cup. Just a stunning miss by Baggio.Who Shot Sam? wrote:USA '94 Otis! World Cup final. Sent it miles over the bar.

if this works out, the EPL just got a lot more interesting to me.

And an Aussie cricketer!
Way to go Rosicky and the Arse! After last February's debacle, it was so nice to see someone else do what we couldn't do and piss all over the Kop. Serves the bastards right for jeering at Alan Smith's ambulance that day. I'm full of sympathy over Hillsborough, but perhaps it's time to move on, lads. What's next, a horse's head in Kelvin Mackenzie's bed? And his testicles slung around his neck for good measure? Awesome, awesome first goal by Rosicky. He's not delivered as the New Pires so far, and of course has been injured, but today he looked amazing, and Henry's supremely confident resolution of the game just at the point when the 'Pool thought they might get back in there was poetry in motion.

Come off it Sam!! it's a great sign that Beckham's career is over and the dopey yanks are prepared to pay for his pension.Who Shot Sam? wrote:Wow! David Beckham to sign for LA Galaxy!
Thought it would happen someday, but not quite this soon. Great sign for the growth of the sport over here.

I'm not talking about his skills as a player, which are clearly in decline. From the standpoint of getting more people excited about MLS it's good news. ESPN, who you would think have a stake in the success of the league, won't give soccer the time of day. I expect that to change now.
