In the girls girls girls liner notes Costello mentioned the subject of temptation is a “VERY FAMOUS ROCKSTAR”, any clues who it could be? I love stuff like this, like for example Big Shot by Billy Joel is about Mick Jagger

It was Bruce Springsteen, according to EC in chapter 22 of Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink (among other places).
