I'm only jealous I didn't think of that line !
SO, YOU ARE SAYING THE PRETENDERS WOULD BETTER SUIT? OKAY, I'LL PUT IN MY REQUEST FOR THE 2020 SUMMER TOUR PACKAGING.Offshoreram wrote:I hope this tour doesn't come to the UK as I'd think Blondie would get most of the attention and probably headline.
I saw Blondie and the Pretenders co-headline a tour in Australia several years ago
Frankly the Pretenders blew them away each night.
If Elvis did have to do a co-headline tour with an act from the late 70s/early 80s I'd rather it was someone closely associated with his history.
OK folks, you heard it here firstSO, YOU ARE SAYING THE PRETENDERS WOULD BETTER SUIT? OKAY, I'LL PUT IN MY REQUEST FOR THE 2020 SUMMER TOUR PACKAGING.
Completely agree.Offshoreram wrote:I hope this tour doesn't come to the UK as I'd think Blondie would get most of the attention and probably headline.
...
I think Chrissie Hynde is the classic female rock vocalist and Debbie Harry has never been a great singer... All about looks, style and image but as an icon she still draws them in.
Believe me, living in the UK this is the least of our problems...docinwestchester wrote:If I lived outside the U.S., I'd be pissed off.

I'm not sure about the Elvis/Chrissie Hynde crossover but I'd go to that.bronxapostle wrote:SO, YOU ARE SAYING THE PRETENDERS WOULD BETTER SUIT? GAS....thanks for stating YOUR obvious PESSIMIST viewpoint, LIKE YOU SO OFTEN DO!! Can't say i, we or THEY will miss you at the shows. Chronic complainers are NOT what Elvis' return buyers are all about you know. Yeah, I'll PROBABLY see the greatest hits once AGAIN...maybe for the 50th, 60th or 80th time for some of the tunes. But that's just fine by me. Always different, always welcomed by my ears. And, yeah i am looking forward to Debbie again too. One of the small handful of artists i have seen five decades since the 1970's. You can't rain on my JULY 2019 parade. Given the co-headline setup, EC's set is sure to be short and greatest-hits-y, and I'd imagine he and the Imps will be the opening band on half the dates. I particularly expect that to be the case in NYC, Blondie's (and my) hometown, and I ain't exactly dying to see Blondie in 2019.
Guess I'll wait till the 'next time around'
Hope this is tongue in cheek/good-natured, BA....cause otherwise....bronxapostle wrote:GAS....thanks for stating YOUR obvious PESSIMIST viewpoint, LIKE YOU SO OFTEN DO!! P.S. AND Imposters will NOT open in nyc or anywhere I'd bet.
