'Twas the Friday before Christmas, when all through Sodajerker Towers,
Not a podcaster was stirring, not even the house-man;
The mics were plugged in by the chimney with care,
In hopes that a Christmas guest soon would be there;
Simon and Brian were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of songwriters danced in their heads;
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
They sprang from their beds to see what was the matter;
Away to the window they flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash;
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Revealed our guest to be Elvis Costello!
Join us on Christmas Eve for this bumper holiday special. — with Simon Barber, Elvis Costello and Brian O'Connor.

Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

An enjoyable listen. Lots of detailed discussion of aspects of songwriting and arrangements, not just the new album but past songs, in particular God Give Me Strength. I look forward to hearing it again - so much is discussed that I'm sure I missed bits considering earlier material.

This was a great listen. I felt like I was sitting in the room with the three of them.
Who put these fingerprints on my imagination?
