ATUB Font on cover
Hello,
I am finishing my tattoo which is going to include "My Aim Is True" written in the ATUB font. Can anyone please help find this font type or anything from the record sleeve with all the required characters ?
Thanks,
WIWC

Wow, dedicated to EC and his music. Just curious - where will this tat reside on your body? How many tats do you have right now and does a font type really matter? Good luck finding the font. Your tat artist should knows the font. If he doesn't find a new tat dude.

Mojo,
I have my left arm as a full sleeve, not all EC as it were though, my upper bicep is my 1962 fender jazz master (Yes, coincidence) my lower forearm is both a vinyl turntable and classic mic like the crooner classics would use. My Bicep is a Vox style tube amp. The 'My Aims Is True' is gonna be a very small homage to the music of EC as it has saved my life more than a few times and Ive been an avid fan since I was about 5 (Thanks, Dad) as I am now 22.
Cheers,
Joel

These sound pretty cool.
How about somebody starts an Elvis tattoo thread and we can see pictures of Elvis fan forum body art?

No idea what that font is, I'm afraid - the CD sleeve says that the design is by Steve Averil and Patrick Swan for ABA. So if you're really determined, you could do an Internet search for them and get in touch.

Thanks all, I will post pictures once it's done if anyone is interested to see.
I managed to get in contact with Stephen wherein he told me that the font was taken from a, 'very old type book' that he will try to locate for me.
Interesting little bit of EC history I suppose so far !

I did actually ask Steve via Facebook private message. I said the information was for a friend so maybe it overlapped with WIWC's query and Steve chose to focus on that. When I talked to him about his work for Elvis he mentioned that he had no way of getting in touch with Patrick Swan so maybe that is delaying his response.
