We'll see you at the bar.
Will do! I'll also be at the Atlantic City show. Wanted to go to Vegas too but just couldn't squeeze it in.

A.C. will be a tough meet-up with timing etc. but hope we bump into each other Mike. we actually have to drive home AFTER the show as mrs. a. must work the next day. good thing i'm always wired after a show and the 2 1/2 drive should be relatively easy. except it is a 9:00 start time. but, i bet the show is done way before 11 anyway. so i will see you at the Capitol for my WISE UP THOUGHT cd if you still have it for me...thanks Mike! ba

It's a casino show BA, so 90 minutes tops is the usual approach, right?

I will bring it!!

I never have high hopes for casino shows, so I'm not expecting anything great.

Btw, is this an Imposters show? All the billboards and ads I've seen just say "Elvis Costello".

The show is TOMORROW!!!! I'm not even going to this show, and I'm so excited. It would be so great if they closed out the show with The Puppet has Cut His Strings.

If the taper Gods going to this show (and you know who you are) could post a torrent as soon as possible after the show, I would be most grateful. I cannot wait to hear Costello and the Roots live again. I have pretty much worn out my iPod listening to the 9-16-13 Brooklyn Bowl show.

Listening to 'Wise up Ghost' now in prep. Haven't really played the album much since it came out. Can't wait for the show tomorrow. Going to be a good one.

The Roots' Frank Knuckles posted this just before showtime:

The venue is live-tweeting the setlist, which matches the above so far: http://twitter.com/capitoltheatre

I'd have bet money they were going to play Viceroy's Row given the Imposters played that one live

NEWS FLASH!
burnout (tired) ba strikes again. A CAPPELLA ending of the night was "WALK US UPTOWN" not wake me up. Pardon ANCT!

01. Wake Me Up
02. Come The Meantimes (very different)
03. Stick Out Your Tongue
04. Watching The Detectives
05. Shabby Doll
06. Sugar Won't Work
07. Tripwire / (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding? (trippy take) - with La Marisoul
08. Spooky Girlfriend - with La Marisoul
09. Cinco Minutos Con Vos - with La Marisoul
10. Ghost Town - with La Marisoul
11. (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea
12. Walk Us Uptown
13. intro>I Want You>I Say a Little Prayer
14. Wise Up Ghost
15. Pump It Up>Yeh Yeh>Subterranean Homesick Blues
16. I Found Out
17. Alison
18. Walk Us Uptown (acappella)

EVERY song sounded WAY different from the Brooklyn show...most especially MEANTIMES, quite spacey! EC sang WALK US UPTON 5-6 times at end of night call and response style. the 2nd percussionist and Captain Kirk each went once apiece too after EC. a cool show. again, VERY different sounding and feel from Brooklyn.

woo-hoo....look who's right again! Frankie Knuckles has MEANTIMES as REMIX! ba STILL has his ears for the music.

Was the Meantimes "remix" like the Wise Up Thought version?

Yes, it's the remix version. I thought it sounded weird, now I get it.

I'll have it up in a few minutes.

you are quick..audio? video? just the song or entire show? sorry i had to run without a goodbye. THANKS DOC!i then caught a horrible asthma attack walking up that hill in the cold, rain. freakin' fluctuation in weather always messes me up. almost needed a doctor.

that was the most glaring DIFFERENT sounding (and unperformed in Brooklyn!) but didn't everything sound vastly different from that night?

I have video coming soon.

Yeah, it sounded different in the bigger venue. I think Brooklyn sounded a lot better.
