A renowned musician from my home town is currently working on completion of a long time musical dream in Paris- he is a cool guy and his work merits a listen. Witness this from today's Arts section of the New York Times:

Both interesting and hilarious (e.g. the tree trunk bashing at the metal, and the wife 'banging' a poster of the Eiffel Tower in their bedroom being his Eureka moment!). Maybe the process of creating it will be more interesting than the end product, but the finished samples of the Bridge piece sound good. Love the idea of it being performed at next year's anniversary.

I thought a fellow percussionist might enjoy it!
