The Juliet Letters is now the most performed album in the Costello ouevre.
Here is another string quartet - Cuarteto Granada, based in Malaga in Spain who have the album in their repertoire:
The quartet are:
Mario Navas (Violín)
Emilia Ferriz (Violín)
Manuel Moreno (Viola)
Jeremias Sanz (Violonchelo)
Their website is here: http://cuartetogranada.blogspot.com/ It tells us (in Spanish) but rendered here in English:
The Quartet Granada is considered one of the most attractive groups of chamber music scene noted for its strong performance and expressiveness, virtuosity and refined musical stage. The four young musicians are advised and supported by the prestigious conductor, violinist and member of the Brodsky Quartet Michael Thomas in England. Studied in the most prestigious European centres of London, Paris and Granada's popularity getting grants public and private entities and top honours.
So their enthusiasm for The Juliet Letters may not be unrelated to their connection with Michael Thomas.
Here is a clip of them performing "Jacksons, Monk and Rowe", with the vocalist Luis Regidor (or perhaps Jacksons, Funk and Rowe?).

Also on their website was a newspaper review of a concert last year, where the venue was not mentioned. The reviewer has this to say of their playing of The Juliet Letters:
Taking My Life In Your Hands, una oda al amor con matices cercanos a la religiosidad.

Nice picture of the quartet, practising looking moody whilst holding a stringed instrument.
They performed The Juliet Letters at the Teatro Echegaray in Malaga, Spain on 17 November 2011. The concert page from the venue is here:

They seem to perform with both a singer and a narrator. Perhaps the latter has the job of explaining what each song is about!

This clip of their performance of "I Almost Had A Weakness", appears to be from the Echegaray show in November.

The vocalist has chosen to sing only the third and final verse, which is not a bad thing as I prefer the playing on this to the singing. The effect is to nearly halve the length of the piece.

Actually, it looks like the camera just started recording halfway through the song.Man out of Time wrote:This clip of their performance of "I Almost Had A Weakness", appears to be from the Echegaray show in November.
