A long time ago I stumbled upon a video of Peace, Love and Understanding that featured Elvis solo but he slows down the tempo of the song and palm mutes most of it. I believe it was a T.V recorded appearance. It may have been a benefit, either way he looked a lot like he did dress wise as on the Late Night Show when he hosted.

Sorry lol guitar lingo, it's when you hit a guitar note but dampen the sound by using your palm to make sure not all of the sound gets out. E does it on the Inch By Inch/ Fever the entire way through. Anyway here is the video that I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idnKd5iRT48
