YO LA TENGO spinning a wheel too

Post by bronxapostle »

on their tour this summer! i say, we have a double wheel EXTRAVAGANZA at like Radio City or The Theater @ MSG to wrap their tours up the right way. imagine the lunacy of ELVIS & THE IMPOSTERS and YLT, separate AND together with TWO wheels!! but showtime MUST be 7:00! maybe ninety minutes separate each and another hour together! whatever, i'm sure they'd arrive at a great arrangement/trade-off. DESTINY!

I do!! We can call it The Double Barrel Revolver Tour featuring Yo La Tengo and EC, that would be awesome. Maybe they could swap songs at some point. I'd love to hear a YLT cover of EC.
And you try so hard

perhaps a new band called "The Fakebooks"!! (w. special guest david schramm??? love his guitar playing on ylt's fakebook--those spare, trebly, sparkling embellishments--almost like burnishes-- that few lead guitar players do anymore)

here we go...THAT'S what i like to hear. how about IMPOSTERS doing SUGARCUBE or Elvis adding flipped out guitar to PASS THE HATCHET, I THINK I'M GOODKIND or THE STORY OF YO LA TANGO? really, the options are endless. Georgia singing PARTY GIRL or Ira singing BUTTON MY LIP? c'mon, this double BARREL gotta happen!
