"This Wheel's On Fire" and "Country Darkness" are new to the wheel, but they've both been played already on the tour.

Twitter says Mike Myers spun the wheel and landed on "God Give Me Strength."

"Sulky Girl" is also new to the wheel, but it's been played as part of the "Girl" jackpot.

The highlight for me was when Elvis sang Josephine and Jimmie Standing In The Rain solo, then went to the piano and started to play a solo blues style version of Pump It Up. I kid you not. The band came back on stage to join him, with Elvis and Steve playing keyboards together for the whole of Pump It Up. This was a spectacular version, especially to these ears which have heard PIU many many times live and were hoping for a rebirth of this particular song. As if that wasn't enough, PIU went straight into Ray Charles' Busted (the whole song, not just a snippet). It was spectacular night.

Other highlights - God Give Me Strength and Long Honeymoon sung with Elvis walking through the crowd, Strict Time, This Year's Girl, Man out of Time and Clowntime Is Over. Alison was truly beautiful, it's a long time since I've heard it with such passion. It was as good a show as I've seen from him and is right up there with his 1986 Spinning Songbook shows which I was also lucky enough to attend.

Couple of random thought before I collapse - very early wakeup tomorrow:

Is this the first time for Veronica No. 2? It was new to my ears at least.

I've got tons of video, some good, some not, from my 18th row Left Orchestra seat. It was really tough to get a good view from that angle on the floor. But I tried. I caught Steve playing melodica during Girl! A subtle detail I didn't notice on previous vids. It'll take a few days to sift through, but it'll be on YouTube this week I hope. Tuesday night should be much better based on the location of my seat that night. I loved Waiting For The End Of The World. A great live song, reminds me of the old old days when E was just a pup.

My audio capture is just okay by my standards. I hope to get that on DIME sooner than later.

Chalkie Davies posts to Facebook -

He was very worried about his voice after Vegas and said he was desperate to get to Alabama and Missouri and warmer weather, he played nearly three hours tonight and was speaking very quietly afterwards to conserve his voice, great show though...

PUNCH THE CLOCK fans were treated to two teases during this show:

At one point, the band was playing music to cover Elvis bringing up the next audience member to spin the wheel, and they played a few seconds of "Charm School."

Also, when in carnival barker mode, Costello suggested that they could "The Element Within Her"!

Actually Steve's been playing that same snippet of Charm School at all the shows (based on the bootlegs I've heard). I'd love to hear EC sing that one.

During one spin, the wheel landed on the space next to Element (I don't remember which one). A mild disappointment, but there is one good version recorded on a bootleg.

I just listened to my recording again while at work. My colleagues in the OR loved it! I hope to have it up on DIME tonight.
