Happy Belated Birthday Tim(e)!
Let me be the first on the board to be late with birthday wishes Tim(e) - I hope you enjoyed it!
Everyone just needs to fuckin’ relax. Smoke more weed, the world is ending.
Happy late Birthday Tim(e)! Hope you saw many fine examples of Asian cinema.

What a surprise!!
I didn't get to see any Asian cinema at all unfortunately (and I have so much of it I have to catch up on - the unwatched DVD pile just keeps on growing).
I did manage to take the kids out and buy them a couple of presents and I did get to watch my favourite AFL (Australian Football League) team, the Melbourne Demons, win comfortably in a game against the team that knocked them out of the finals last year, Essendon. It was actually a rather moving experience as the game was dedicated to the memory of a Demons player (best on ground in aforementioned final) Troy Broadbridge, who perished in the Tsunami last Boxing Day whilst on his honeymoon at Phi Phi Island in Thailand. His wife (who survived, obviously) attended the game and greeted each of the players as they left the field at the end of the game.
All in all, I had a very relaxing and enjoyable day.

Must agree... it is the singular most spectacular "football" code on the planet, incorporating speed, agility, strength and pure athleticism... and with no padding or body armour! Although, being an expatriate Melbournian, I suppose I may be a little biasedbambooneedle wrote:It's the best football code, skill and speed without all the brawn of rugby codes and soccer was always too frustrating.Tim(e) wrote:It is when your team winsbambooneedle wrote:Great way to spend your birthday!
Extra happy now, as my team won again this week.
