I'm off to work!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

it was a clever ploy to get out of work today.

not clever enough. the keyboard did not explode, my files did not melt and there was not quite enough water to swim out of here.

They didn't decide on a jury even though I was there from 8:30 to 4:30, so I'm off to the courthouse again today. Hooray!
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Poor Blue. You're going to lose your spot as top poster if you keep having to go to the courthouse everyday!

Ya know - it only takes three punches to get a free cappucino at one of the best cappucino places in Toronto. I wish I could get three punches.

I just woke up. It's my first off day in a fortnight and I thought I'd celebrate by relaxing, starting with a cup of coffee. Notice jar is empty. Going to the store is not my idea of relaxation, but neither is day off minus coffee. Dilemma.

Had some tea with honey, but it's just not the same. Coffee and cigarettes, now there's a combination.

You must have at least one cup of coffee.

Well, Blue, I suppose your top posting spot can remain in tact now that you are done with your civic duty.

Sort of. I have to go back next Monday. I understand civic duty, but they're really milking it. I've sat there for 2 1/2 days and haven't even been picked! But Monday is the last day I have to be there.. unless of course they pick me, in which case I can be there for who knows how long.

I stayed home from work yesterday and watched People's Court all day. Is that sad?

Made coffee this morning. Poured milk into it. Milk proceeded to curdle. Had to dump coffee.

are you really? I'm feeling like a Cool Kid now.

but you're just kidding, toying with my fragile self-esteem, so I'll bore you with it:

lots of stuff under $9.99, which is why I went into HyperDrive. Some Girls, Exile on..., Janis Joplin's GH and Funkadelic's One Nation Under a Groove, plus something else I can't remember now. take that!

I also can't stop listening to Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, and Jenny.
