Five Great Road Songs

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Any fast-paced bluegrass music -- as in the entire Flat & Scruggs score from "Bonnie and Clyde" as it is the perfect accompanient to fleeing them danged state troopers.
It Takes a Lot to Laugh, it Takes a Train to Cry -- Bob Dylan
Road to Nowhere -- Talking Heads
Fly Me to the Moon -- Frank Sinatra/Count Basie
The Road -- Fastball (I might have the title, band name wrong here, but it was that 90's one hit wonder that sounded a bit like Rockpile or some other 80's power pop band doing a song inspired vaguely by "Besame Mucho")

And, obviously...

King of the Road -- Roger Miller
http://www.forwardtoyesterday.com -- Where "hopelessly dated" is a compliment!

bobster,

I think you're thinking of "The Way" by Fastball. I quite liked that song, but it suffered from its ridiculous amount of overplay. Never thought of the Rockpile connection, but you are definitely right.
