That was astonishing.
There is one sketch they did about 30 years ago that I remember being quite funny. Ric Mayle played the part of a fussy barman. Every time Bobby Ball helped himself to some peanuts the barman tried to replace the exact amount of nuts Bobby took.
Well... as I say, it was only quite funny. I was only 8 years old at the time.
And more recently Bobby Ball was pretty good acting alongside Timothy Spall in a TV play written by Caroline Aherne.
Still - it's kind of amazing that an unofficial Cannon & Ball website exists.
Bobby and Tommy both became born again Christians. Forgive them they know not what they do.

I think there was a whole raft of TV comedians in the 80s that were kept in business solely because 8 year olds thought they were funny (because surely no one else did): Cannon & Ball, Russ Abbott, Hale & Pace.
I don't count Little & Large in this group, they were proper class.
