What will the year 2009 bring for us, EC fans?
It looks promising with six UK-concerts with the Brodsky Quartet in april and a new album with T-Bone Burnett in may (and hopefully followed by a full tour).
A second season of "Spectacle" is a good possibility.
There is also a chance that his "soul-opera" with Solomon Burke sees the light of day.

Elvis in 2009

Happy New Year, Blue Chair!
As ever, my hope is that an Elvis song will be covered by a young, hot new act and become a massive hit, to put him in the minds of a new generation. Or that a major, popular film will take one of his songs and use it in a crucial, brilliantly-edited scene which highlights how fab the song is, making it a download hit. A song like Next Time Round in the climactic sequence might be good!
