Funnily enough, I'm on CD2 of the tremendously wonderful 3CD reissue of Colossal Youth right now. Nice, suitably eulogistic notes by Simon Reynolds of 'Rip It Up' fame, which I really must get.
Final Day - YMG's apocalypse song, sounds like a weird nursery rhyme
Orchestral Manouevres in the Dark
There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more
Shitloads Of Money. I always find the sympathy for the guy in the song funny.
Next, partly inspired by G2S's recent Hell Is For Children choice in the song titles thread and also because I had a PB cd in the car this week (I know which song I would choose, to be revealed later......<suspense>):
Woops, sorry Dr J, picked you up wrong. I'm afraid I'm one of those musical snobs who feel Billy hasn't done anything decent since The Stranger, though The Nylon Curtain does have its moments. They were the most popular band at school, though I never liked them. This is rather nifty, though, and reminds me of a drunken Friday night in my youth.

No problem! My love of the Innocent Man album is in part due to the fact that it was the first proper album I bought when I was 9. I thought The Longest |Time was a really cool song back then. The Nylon Curtain has some fantastic songs: Laura, Scandanavian Skies...
Insanely catchy, and I just love the closing lines "Would you like to come and meet me maybe? You can even bring your baby followed by Ooh ooh/ooh/ooh/ooh / Ooh ooh/ooh/ooh/ooh ooh.
