Random Thoughts

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

My university had 7:30am classes. My first year? I had 4 of them. And the only day where I didn't, I had an 8:30am.

Is anybody collecting the monopoly stickers from McDonalds?
Preacher was a talkin' there's a sermon he gave,
He said every man's conscience is vile and depraved,
You cannot depend on it to be your guide
When it's you who must keep it satisfied

I had to fish through that dude's sweaty palm for fifteen measly cents. I feel so unclean.
Wonder if NAMBLA will let this guy in -- I mean pursuing a mere 26 year old, however youthful in spirit, doesn't really rate.

Puts me in mind of meeting an old mentor who had progressed from semi-closeted gay to out-and-out-perv and the world's longest's handshake. (At what point does a handshake become non-consensual?)

Eating six pastries a day probably isn't the best way to maintain my youthful figure, but I am...um...experiencing the culture?

I'm starting to think a Bloody Caesar, a supposedly Canadian variant of the Bloody Mary subststituting Clamato for tomato juice, is the superior beverage.

Bloody Mary is a great in-flight drink. I had one on an 8am flight to Dublin once, perfect!

MBA: BA is great for pastries, no? I love business trips, if they take me to places like BA, anyway.

My business trips (ie. tours) are also interesting sometimes.

For instance, in Vienna (Austria) tea came served with a packet of their local sugar brand...called "Wiener Zucker"

I am attending 40th birthday parties for friends of mine tonight and tomorrow night, another one in November and another one in December.

I've already been to three this year as whole bunches of friends are 40 in 2005 and 2006.

Same here verbal - my wife and brother both turned 40 this month.

On another note, I just encountered a guy who used to be responsible for delivery of FedEx packages to EC's place when he was living in Dublin. Apparently, he used to have the driver meet him down at a local pub rather than walk up to his house. Called EC a "nice bloke, bit eccentric though". Cait, he said, is "a bit of a lunatic".

I like their grapefruit soda. My Dad still picks it up at Trader Joe's occasionally. Mouth-puckering refreshment.

Put's me in mind of the supposed Starbucks nickname for a non-fat decaf cappucino: "The Why Bother?"

I was with a film crew and the cute little mini-gazelle thing had it's nose right by the camera man's knee, like a loyal pet, waiting patiently for his master to finish the shoot, as it were. The boat was great - gave me an inkling of the excitement and romance of a life on the ocean wave in days of youre. Sadly it's an entirely modern ship with metal decks. My ambition is to go on a proper trip on a creaking wooden job. Every life should contain a bit of that.

Does anybody know anything about Formal Logic? I feel like Im this close to failing my take-home midterm as neither the book nor my notes make any sense to me.

Apparently I favor the absurd.
