I hope he drops A Slow Drag with Josephine by the time he reaches the UK. My least favourite EC song, alongside The Big Light!

Outrageous.

a brilliantly original song, that could or should've been written in the 20s! Really love how these "period pieces" of Elvis really take you to that time and place. Songs such as "No Wonder", The re-visiting of "What Lewis did Last". The Jenny Lind themes on SPS and much of National Ransom showcase Elvis' talent for brilliant imagery and storytelling.

Oh and I quite like "The Big Light" too! I wouldn't change a note on that album (KOA) plus, like most of us I imagine, I can relate to the lyric.

Josephine . . . Jimmie . . . A Voice in the Dark . . .

Probably my personal favorite three EC songs from the last 10 years.

The studio version of Jimmie is amazing.

Josephine ends too soon, otherwise it would be as well.

Agreed. The live (complete) version of Josephine is superior to the recorded track.

Hi all ! Has anyone recieved their Albert Hall tickets yet coz I ordered them for both nights on the day the info came out, and nothing has arrived yet. I'm sure it's still a bit too early but thought I'd just check.

I've had mine from the Ticket Factory for a couple of weeks now but nothing as yet from Elvis' own ticketing service.

I've just read the new issues of Mojo, Uncut and Record Collector , issues that , surely, should have had some preview comments/interviews/features for the U.K tour. Except they don't - not a word , no ads. even. It's true that most of the U.K. dates have sold well and need little promotion. Clearly Elvis or his people have decided that the relevant media are just not worth the effort. So, it seems, this will just be a tour that will delight the fans , maybe get some post-show reviews and then Elvis will merrily go on to other territories. The fact the it'll mean he'll get little or no new fans in the U.K. seems not to have come to mind. Or maybe it's been determined that word of mouth from the shows might do the trick. We'll see.

The reviews are getting interesting for the US shows.

I'm looking forward to the shows. It'll also be interesting to see the press reaction. It's difficult to gauge just how spontaneous/impromptu some of the shows are. I don't like that the wheel gets rigged but I can understand why it does.

I've received my Royal Albert Hall tickets although I bought them from the venue's website.

The only ones I'm waiting for are Birmingham. But as we know, those Brummies are notoriously slow

The only ones I haven't received ( apart from Birmingham obviously) are Cambridge and Basingstoke but there again, I might have agreed to pick them up at the Box Office !

I'm going on the first night.

As I'm now going to 6 shows, it might be difficult to persuade Mrs VG to let me go to the 2nd night even if I got a guest list ticket.

Are you going to the RAH so lack? If not then I'll see you in Amazingstoke.
