"Condemed Man"

Post by wordnat »

Looks like this tune will be on the new nashville LP. This is EC at his most fawning and pedestrian, is it not? Discuss.

I, for one, loved it when I saw him perform it with the Sugarcanes last summer. I'd certainly rather hear songs like "Condemned Man" over maudlin tunes such as "My Three Sons"...I've never been able to listen to that one in its entirety.

Yeah, I couldn't get to like My Three Sons, particularly as it looked like Elvis had written the song for his twins but then felt guilty that he'd ignored Matthew for the last 30 years or so (in song form I mean)

Does that mean you've never heard the final verse with the switch to double time, bagpipes and Jay-Z cameo?
