It was a BIG surprise for me--my local independent record store gave me one with my purchase of 'R & R Music'.

What I think is interesting is the text on the 7" :

"ALSO AVAILABLE: The classic 11 albums spanning 1977-1986 * The original U.S. tracklisting * The original artwork in collectable digi-paks w/obi-sleeves for Japanese import look * Obi sleeve with links to special exclusives available on ALL Elvis product!"

Sooooooooo "exclusives, eh? Hmmmm.

And if it hasn't been reported yet, also straight from the 7" sleeve, the demo version of "Welcome to the Working Week" hails from the 30th Anniversary 'My Aim Is True' deluxe edition.

Okay--I just also noticed that the 7" lists an Elvis website for the bonus material--which I followed, and this is what is up for the moment:

mp3 Downloads:

"Exclusive podcast ROCKLINE INTERVIEW WITH ELVIS COSTELLO AND BOB COBURN FROM 1982
Elvis Costello Wallpaper and AIM Icon Downloads"

We get asked to giveaway a ton of promo swag here at Losanjealous HQ. Some of it cool, some of it not so cool. Case in point, our 3rd floor conference room is currently full of stacked boxes of According to Jim beer koozies that we had to pass on featuring in a giveaway. (You want to get those out of here already, Casagrande?)

So when this neat little Elvis Costello 7″ promo came our way, I said hold on! This doesn’t involve Jim Belushi! Elvis is cool. Our readers play vinyl. Let’s do it.

The A-side is a demo of “Welcome to the Working Weekâ€
