As a youngster, I never missed a copy of Smash Hits. It was a magazine that heavily involved music journos Dave Hepworth and Mark Ellen, who are now the leading lights of Word Magazine. These days Smash Hits focuses on the likes of Rachel Stevens and Girls Aloud....how times change.
In my early 20s I turned to Q and NME, both of wich were more adult and loved the works of Elvis C. Both of these publications are now only interested in Keane and Coldplay.
So now I buy Word, which arwe more adult and love the works of Elvis C. How life can go full circle!
