Elvis in Dylan's new book

Post by notesrecliner »

Dylan Twitter is abuzz with the table of contents for Bob's new book which includes exploration of a number of songs, including "Pump It Up." I'm sure Elvis will be mentioned in the chapter on "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood."

Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

I confess I'd be slightly disappointed if the only Elvis song mentioned is 'Pump It Up'. Particularly if all Bob's going to do is point out the obvious connection from 'Too Much Monkey Business' to 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' and then to 'Pump It Up'.

This is Bob Dylan we’re talking about here. Don’t expect anything simple!

Well, quite. Books that I own, about or by Bob, are a lot smaller in number than the books I own about or by Elvis. But they take up three times as much shelf-space!
