Gimarc figures he has recordings of 75, 80 complete R&R Alternatives — out of more than 500. He’s digitizing those now, as well as KNTU and The Edge material. Some of that’s already been posted to Soundcloud by KDGE stalwart Jeff K. Gimarc has so far just gifted us with this one ZOO recording: the night in September of ’83 when Elvis Costello stopped by during his Punch the Clock promo tour to play disc jockey, spinning offerings from, amongst others, Otis Redding, The Style Council, Brinsley Schwarz, The Clark Sisters and The Specials. Many, many more like this are on their way.

Listening to this now - it's a hour and forty minutes long - and it's interesting to hear Elvis making some choices I haven't heard elsewhere. He disses U2 at c.23mins!
I'll post a songlist later.
I'll post a songlist later.

That list takes me back. That year I bought the Style Council ep, the Aztec Camera lp and Carmel 12". Can't say I have played many recently - may have to dig them out.
