Tickets Anyone?

Anybody know where tickets are being sold for this show? I've seen the gig advertised on the teatro cervantes website, the link for tickets takes you to the corte ingles website but there only the madrid (Villalba ) show seems to be listed..

I have a feeling things are going to quiet down for a while once Diana has this baby. I tend to agree.,but who knows? If things do quiet down a little perhaps he will finally have chance to listen through the 14,000 versions of WTD in order to put out a live box set or rarities box set, or even beg...

TDM for me. I like RIR but the majority are covers, so TDM gets my vote as COSTELLO'S last great album.

Haven't heard the album yet but looking forward to it having read all the reviews. Just wondered if anybody's favourite is the customary extra track on the Japanese edition and whether I should fork out the extra cash once again to hear it? Or should I simply wait for the expanded album to be releas...

Quick Question about The Clash

Elvis has mentioned his fondness for The Clash on numerous occasions but reading his liner notes he states that this opinion wasn't shared by some of The Attractions. Any ideas who wasn't into The Clash? My guess is it was Steve 'cos Topper and Simonen could only have inspired Pete and Bruce.

Although Eisenhower Blues is clearly my least fave track on the almost perfect KOA, I think it helps break the album up between all those ballads. Other lightweight filler tracks that work include Stalin malone and Unexpected #2

I honestly don't understand the inclusion of B Movie on all these lists. Is this mass hysteria? A great song in a great position on a great record. There are a few energetic throwaways on GH, but B Movie is definitely not one of them. 5ive Gears in Reverse? Here here! Just listen to that incredible...

I assume you refer to some of the acoustic demos which were left off the re-issue, as far as I know the electric versions lack a few overdubs here and there. As for the rest I think the quality is identical. I mean just how much can you improve an accoustic demo, save for editing out the false start...

That's what makes life interesting. It would be boring if we all felt the same. I must say that I'm probably too close to the songs to judge being that I usually listen to Costello A LOT. When thinking about my least favourite tracks I found most of them to be covers. Not bad then if he's not responsible for them, maybe they were just unsuitable for his voice or whatever. I refer to stuff like Neat,Neat,Neat,Room nobody lives in, Night Time and other B sides. However they are only ex...

That stupid accent

Seems Elvis decided to switch to using a fake scouse accent instead round about '84. I say fake 'cos as far as I know he only lived there for a short time in the early seventies. I fully expect him to start sounding like an American any day soon.

Re-issues, rarities and bootlegs!

With so much Costello material around (unreleased tracks and stray collaborations etc) I wonder why Costello hasn't released many more CDs. I read somewhere that he didn't want to flood the market with new releases, but these could be put out quietly with little or no promotion (just like he wanted ...

TJL bonus disc

I know it's late for suggestions but I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed looking at the selections for TJL bonus disc. Bilbao review

Is it just me or is anybody else getting mighty tired of re-issues of albums only months after first appearing. Does nobody like Painted From Memory?

For me it's a very coherent album. Beautiful melodies and no clumsy changes like "north". Then again I like Bacharach's style.
