I have to concur with Sufjan's John Wayne Gacy. I haven't thought about a song so much since Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane (the entire CD). It's kind of a chicken or the egg argument, but at times it makes me sad that such a monster results in such a beautiful song. Gacy doesn't deserve it. ...

Thanks for the heads up. The Houston Symphony has been selling tickets since early August, and I kept putting it off. Presale today, got four 2d row seats. Can't beat that. These presales rock, got front row for the last Houston show.
