Re: Relatively Insignificant EC Stuff. . .

I was at West Ham United v Bournemouth on New Years Day and there was an article looking back to 1980 by Broadcaster Mark Webster. In the matchday programme. There were photos of Elvis and the Hoover Factory. There was also a short paragraph on the song Hoover Factory.

Elvis was at the football as well Saturday. Funny he's started going again now they are winning. Half the reason he fell out with Bruce is because United were top dog. (not really i made that bit up)

Re: Elvis in new Elton John autobiography

In the late 70's Capital Radio used to have music awards. Elton won best male singer but said Elvis should have won it.

Elvis and Diana married at Elton's house I think

Watching Quadrophenia night on sky arts on Saturday night. They were talking about how the punk rock attitude was significant in the making of the film. Trevor Laird who played who played Ferdy in the film said 'he didn't like punk rock apart from The Clash who eventually made some great music, The ...

Re: Elvis's most 'Marmite' project

The album I just don't seem to get on with is Secret, Profane and Sugarcane. EC doing bluegrass sounds a great idea in theory but it just doesn't work for me. Clumsy title too - unusual for Elvis. I guess to be Marmite then someone needs to love it - not so sure about that! PS I love Marmite and gr...

Re: Elvis's most 'Marmite' project

I think North would qualify as a 'Marmite' project. I know from conversations on Facebook it seems to divide the fans. Personally speaking I absolutely love both The Juliet Letters and North. For what its worth I love Marmite too

Didn't Barry Evans have an awful death? I think he was murdered. He was a big star on TV in the late 60's early 70's

Bruce made that album with Spencer Brown a year or two ago. It seems he maybe doing more writing as hid Tyson Fury book followed his Man United book pretty quickly.

Re: Elvis & The Imposters play Gettysburg, PA , July 17th 2019

I am guessing while they are still playing the Look Now album the BV's are a regular thing. I have not seen them in the UK as the dates I was due to see last year were cancelled due to his health scare. I have seen Elvis open with Pump it up. One tour he used to play a noisy solo version to start th...
