40 years on ............................... This is a curate's egg of a recording, it sounds a little muffled yet the mix is really strange, - for the most part Elvis' voice is quite low in the mix but one can pick out subtleties of his guitar playing which I've never heard before during this little jaunt through 1982. In odd songs there is also a significant forwardness in Bruce's playing which sometimes overshadows all the rest of the band and throughout Steve's playing is very much in the rearguard. I'm not sure it's a recording I would turn to again because it does lack clarity but it is an interesting listen of you're prepared to work at it- I wish I could make my own mind up about it. Please use the samples for your own satisfaction. No idea where this came from - it appears in my lists around the winter of 1983 I would guess.
