Did Elvis Costello get married to Cait O'Riordan of The Pogues over the weekend?
Nobody will actually say whether they did or didn't, but they were both wandering around the RDS all Saturday, dressed very distinctively in black like a Greek Orthodox priest and priestess, and staring moonily into each other's eyes.
And at the party in the early hours of the morning afterwards, various people claiming to be in the know were assuring everyone else that Elvis and Cait had either just joined in wedlock or were about to join in wedlock but didn't want anyone to know about it one way or the other. They wanted to keep it a secret, you see which, of course, made it the worst-kept secret of the weekend.
Then again, maybe they didn't get married at all.
