"A minha mulher (Diana Krall) já me avisara."

British musician performed at Cool Jazz Fest this Wednesday

The public, where they noticed many familiar faces - as Teixeira dos Santos, finance minister, Augustus John and Pedro Pais - surrendered to the charms of the musician hat and helped choruses of hits like 'Red Shoes' or 'She'.
Among chimes and more country themes (more evident in the last sounding album, "Secret, Profane and Sugarcane), Costello did not fail to praise the park and the public. "My wife (Diana Krall) had warned me."
Communicative, Costello also took the good response from the audience to go 'sending' a few jokes, showing known their Audencia. "The last time I played was in Lisbon in Portugal, do not know if any of you were there," he asked, before the approval of some of the gifts. "And always heard that like sad songs," he joked, before starting with 'Red Shoes'.
But not only big hits became indulged in two hours. Themes like the last album 'Down Among the Wines and Spirits', 'Complicated Shadows' and 'Sulphur to Sugarcane' proved, once again, the domain Costello (and his band, the Sugarcanes), owner and master of many styles and sounds.
"This is the last show of our tour and I am so glad we picked this place", also praised Elvis, his baptismal name Declan Patrick Aloysius McManus.
The Cool Jazz Fest closes tonight with the spectacle of Solomon Burke and Joss Stone. Parque Marechal Carmona in Cascais, at 22:00.
